It was a day in August 2005 when her husband set out for work and never came home. After a hard struggle and pain, she found out that her husband was detained by the Pakistan's most powerful intelligence agency, the Inter-Service Intelligence, on charges that have yet to be made clear. Neither the alleged charges have ever been brought forward to any court nor his whereabouts disclosed. She is one of the hundreds of people who vanished like this and their families the have been suffering silently, too afraid to speak out, but this is the story of one woman who dared to go in search of her husband, and in the process, launched a movement that has shaken Pakistan's military-led government.Its a real shame for us that even in this modern age of civilization our people have no value infront of our governments who in order to satisfy their foreign friends can even sell their own sons of the soils and give no value for the human rights given to them by the conctitution or the collective sense of humanity and justice.

| Missing Pakistani - Dr. Afia Siddiqui - Prisoner 650 !

Dr. Afia Siddiqui, who studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, US, for about 10 years and did her PhD in genetics, returned to Pakistan in 2002.
Dr. Afia Siddiqui, who has been missing from Pakistan for over four years, since 2003. Let us not forget that the missing persons case was a turning point in the history of Pakistan where Pervaiz Musharraf had a severe falling out with the then CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry who was investigating this case and probably stepped on a few toes definitely ended up rumbling a few skeleton locked within Musharraf’s treasure chest of hidden secrets.
Please write to the relevant authorities from following platforms and request them to investigate immediately. Dr. Afia’s whereabouts must be confirmed and the safety of her children assured. Regardless of whether Dr. Afia is Prisoner 650 or not the fact is that she has been missing, along with her children for five years. The governments of the USA and Pakistan at first confirmed her arrest and then denied it. Both governments have a duty to report any information they might have on the matter.
