Fifteen years ago I started shooting weddings for my friends and family in the seaside city of Karachi. Since the day I first looked at a wedding reception through the viewfinder, I realized that I saw things differently. While the others were caught up in the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations I could see the nervousness of the bride-to-be, or the mischief reflected in a child’s eye as he regarded the elaborate icing on a wedding cake. That is when I knew that photography would be both my passion and my vocation.

Choosing the right photographer is a difficult decision. It is important for the bride and the groom to have a rapport with the person who is going to help them record the details of their special day. You need somebody flexible and unobtrusive, a person who can celebrate this day with you as one of your guests, while at the same time you need somebody who can coax a smile out of the tired mother of the bride, or hustle the relatives together for some memorable photographs of the extended family.
